Hongwei Yang is currently the Deputy Director of China National Health and Development Centre (CNHDRC) in China; Member, Committee of China Community Health Association; Council Member, China Health Economics Association; Members, International Advisory Group of NUS Initiative to improve health in Asia, Members, ANHSSS Board; Members, Health Policy Research Group which funded by AusAID.

Prior to the services as the Deputy Director of CNHDRC, he was a program officer in WHO Representative Office in China for more than 6 years, and Director of General Office in Foreign Loan Office, Ministry of Health, P.R. China. For his professional years, he focused on and expertise in Health Economics, Health Policy and Planning and Financing, China Health Services System, especially for the primary health services. As a Chair of the Health Policy Research funded by ASEM, he also focused on China New Rural Cooperative Medical Care, Price Setting for the Health Services.

Hongwei Yang received his MSc in Public Policy and Management from University of Southern California (US). He has published more than 55 peer-reviewed papers on Health system and translated reported for bilingual languages on China Health Delivery System.
