Through its regional hub at the PRICELESS SA, iDSI is creating a platform to provide targeted priority setting support for Sub-Saharan African countries. This includes emerging African economies making progress towards universal health coverage and that seek to use HTA for health benefit package design and smart purchasing, such as Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia. iDSI is also raising awareness and exploring collaborations with development partners in lower income countries, and actively strengthening networks and capacity among HTA researchers and policymakers. Our work will become increasingly important as African nations prosper and the aid transition agenda becomes increasingly pressing for governments and global funders.
Who we work with
We are working in a multi stakeholder environment – championing collaboration with agencies such as the African Health Economics and Policy Association, Collaborative African Budget Reform Initiative and PATH, to achieve the collective goal of UHC.
