Katharina Hauck is a Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College Business School, London. She has broad research interests in the areas of empirical health economics, the quantitative evaluation of health policy, and applied micro-econometrics. Katharina is currently involved in projects on the social determinants of health, patient safety in hospitals, cost-effectiveness of HIV prevention programs, and others. Katharina holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York, and her previous appointments were at Monash University (Australia), the University of York (UK), and at the World Health Organization in Geneva (Switzerland). Katharina has been involved in projects for the UK and Australian Departments of Health, the World Bank, the World Health Organization and other organisations.
