The University of Glasgow is a broad-based, research intensive institution with a global reach. It is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of leading UK research universities. Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) covers a broad set of activities relating to the appraisal of health service interventions including policies, procedures, devices, drugs and diagnostics. Our research is divided into seven programmatic research themes as follows: economic evaluation alongside clinical trials, decision analytic modelling and simulation for evaluation in health, evidence synthesis, economics of population health, statistical analysis of linked health data, global HTA and incorporating perspectives and experiences. HEHTA is part of the Institute of Health and Wellbeing which spans the University’s College of Social Sciences and College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences.
